Before specializing in ophthalmology, Dr. Patrick Mitchell practiced as a general practitioner, where his broad medical knowledge now enhances his work in retina care. He has a particular interest in pediatric retinal diseases, which are rare and challenging to diagnose and treat. His specialized training in this area is a valuable asset to the Southern Alberta community. Outside of work, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is an avid golfer and skier, making Calgary’s four seasons ideal for his active lifestyle.
