Alberta Healthcare will cover the cost of an eye exam if it is medically necessary or your vision is at risk. Alternatively, if you are under the age of 18 or over the age of 65 you should have coverage. For those visiting from outside of Canada, the price is $250 including the costs for any additional testing.
Your Alberta Healthcare will cover the cost of corrective eye surgery if it’s medically necessary.

Advanced Surface Treatment (AST) / Advanced PRK is $1900 per eye and includes 18 months of follow up care with free enhancements if needed.
